IYF, Vitron Partnership Donate TV sets to Prisons for Mind Education
A new partnership between International Youth Fellowship (IYF) and Vitron Electronics Manufacturing and Services (K) has seen the donation of TV sets to be used in several prison facilities in Kenya for purposes of use for Mind Education Program.
The two organizations came together to boost the Mind Education and Mahanaim Bible College program by IYF in over 30 prisons that begun in 2018.

The donation by Vitron will go a long way in enabling the Inmates learn the mind education through watching GBS Tv and will go a long way in enabling the learners access the education without difficulties.
The donation is a shot in the arm online classes
IYF has been running the Mind Education program in prisons around the globe with Kenya leading in the number of institutions per country to establish this training, thus the partnership couldn’t have come at a better time with more donation of a similar nature called for.
Since the emergence of the Covid 19 in Kenya early this year, economic social and educational activities have been stalled due to the restriction of movement and social distancing regulations by the Ministry of Health (MoH).
The mind education program will from August 19th – 20th hold the inaugural online courses. IYF also provided internet connection to another correctional institution, the Kamiti YCTC.

The program has so far benefited 44 institutions in Kenya with 23 receiving TV sets for the online learning. Prisons have also suffered the impact of the Covid -19, hampering education in the institutions.
First to benefit from the partnership, was Kiambu county where the Thika men’s and Thika women’s maximum prisons receiving a 32-inch Vitron flat screen Tv set each.
With activities stalled and learning having been stopped. IYF and Vitron decided to donate five 55-inch and eleven 32-inch TV sets to allow digital learning of the Mind Education program.

IYF is continuing to hold online conferences also that are normally aired through GBS TV and with this TV sets available in the correction facilities, the inmates are sure to participate with the rest of the world in this Mind education conferences by IYF
